This applies to any email Lantern sends: confirmation and verification codes, password resets, device linking codes, receipts, and download links.
Some email providers, especially Chinese consumer providers, block or
delay messages from services hosted outside mainland China. Known
affected domains include qq.com, 163.com,
126.com, yeah.net, sina.com,
sina.cn, aliyun.com, sohu.com,
tom.com, 21cn.com, and
foxmail.com.
If an email does not arrive:
- Check your spam or junk folder
- Use the resend option on the screen you are on (for example
Resend Emailon theConfirm Emailscreen) - If it still does not arrive and you use one of the providers above, change your account email to a known reliable provider:
- Outlook
- iCloud Mail
- Yahoo Mail
- Gmail
- Proton Mail - a free, nonprofit, privacy focused email provider. In China, Proton mail require a VPN.
