You can change the email address on your Lantern account directly from the app. The change takes effect once you verify the new email with a 6-digit code.
Steps
- Open the app and go to Account settings.
- Tap Change Email.
- On the password screen ("To continue, please confirm your password."), enter your current account password.
- On the Enter your new Email screen, type the email address you want to use going forward. This will become your new login email.
- A 6-digit verification code is sent to the new email address. Check that inbox (and the spam folder if you don't see it).
- Enter the code on the Confirm Email screen.
- When the change succeeds, you'll see: "Your email has been updated."
Notes
- The verification code is sent to the new address, not the old one. If you can't access the new inbox, the change cannot be completed.
- Your Lantern Pro subscription and account history stay with the same account — only the login email changes.
- If you originally signed in with Google or Apple, the email address tied to your OAuth account is managed through Google or Apple, not from inside Lantern.
