I signed up with Google or Apple — why is Lantern asking me for a password?

If you signed up for Lantern Pro using Continue with Google or Continue with Apple, you don't have a Lantern password — the subscription is tied to your Google or Apple identity instead.

When signing in, use the same button you used at signup:

  • If you signed up with Google → tap Continue with Google.
  • If you signed up with Apple → tap Continue with Apple.

If you tapped Sign in with Email by mistake and are stuck on the password screen, either go back and use the Google or Apple button, or tap Forgot your password? to create a Lantern password for the first time. You'll be able to use either method to sign in afterward.
